So now I've been her for awhile...photography is still a favorite of mine but when it's 25+ BELOW ZERO ...I'll paint.
I get to live where people like to vacation... beautiful Alaska.I came here ten years ago and have been taking photos ever since. I've been using a 35mm Canon with an assortment of lenses and filters - shooting mostly scenics. A couple years ago - on the way to France - a flight attendant showed me her portfolio of Polaroid manipulations... I was hooked. I found my SX-70 cameras on Ebay, ordered up some film over the Internet and I was on my way to the most fun I've had in a long time. Soon after, I had to purchase a good scanner and printer -
It's one of the best investments I ever made.
Recently I've been working on some photos that were headed for the trash can...At first glance each image wasn't too appealing EXCEPT for maybe one little spot.....
Sooo.. Blow it up, crop it down, work the colors, remove what you don't want, put in what you do and get ready to hang on your wall.
It's amazing what I end up with...
